Mindful Meditation Event

Last week we designed for a lovely corporate event with a theme of "Mindfulness" which essentially is the practice of focusing your attention on the present moment—and accepting it without judgment.

The event was held in the Garden Room at the Darien Community Association in Darien, CT.  The guest speaker was Dan Harris of ABC News whose book, "10% Happier: How I Tamed the Voice in My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, and Found a Self-Help That Actually Works", deals with the topic of mindful meditation.

The flowers were designed to be calming, serene and of course, seasonally appropriate like a forest floor in Spring. Here are some photos:

8' farm tables gave the event a communal, intimate feel.

Lush 6' moss table runners were created and topped with votives, several fern varieties, clover, foraged andromeda and seasonal white flowers such as muscari, alyssum and pansies
